So we set off at a relatively early (for us) 10:30am to see Venice by day. We wanted to avoid the heat and the crowds. Unfortunately we achieved neither!
Venice is literally a maze of streets. Evie wanted a gondola ride so we walked to ponto vecchio and found a lovely man with a boat.
It was so cool on the water going through tiny backstreet canals. Finally we could appreciate the beauty of the city away from the crowds
And so back to ponto vecchio where we started
Isaac managed to find some shade for quiet contemplation
Dessert that evening was a local specialty, flaming balls...

You can't go to Venice and not go on a Gondola! Looks like fun. So Isaac were you really contemplating or just in a bad mood? :)
