After a good nights sleep, hot baths and showers all round, and a delicious buffet breakfast, we were on the road again..
We drove from Germany south past Basel and Bern and into the mountains of Switzerland. Finally some snow capped peaks in the distance.
Our destination was Interlaken which is a city between two massive lakes. It would be beautiful if we could see anything! Unfortunately the storm we had been avoiding eventually caught up with us.
We are parked right on the edge of the lake, here is our view at breakfast
Last night we learned two very valuable lessons about Switzerland :
1. Don't get a taxi - £20 for a two mile trip!
2. Food is very expensive here. One restaurant wanted £12 for a kids meal! Needless to say we went elsewhere :-)
Basically Switzerland is expensive, but beautiful. If the clouds lift we should get some amazing pictures.
